Evidence-based care
for the whole woman.
Introducing Evolve Gyn
A board-certified OB/GYN reimagining gynecology and midlife care in New York City.

For years, I watched women leave appointments with half an answer. They had been told their symptoms were normal, that they needed to see someone else, or that there simply was not enough time to get into it. Their fibroids were managed in isolation. Their hormones were addressed separately from their mood, their sleep, their weight. Their questions about sex and intimacy were never asked at all.
I built Evolve Gyn because that is not the care women deserve.
My approach is what I call WHOL-istic: treating all the parts at once, not in isolation. Fibroids and perimenopause and sexual health and bone density and cardiovascular risk are not separate appointments on your calendar. They are all telling the same story about your body. My job is to read that story with you, help you understand it, and build a plan that fits your actual life.
This is evidence-based medicine paired with warmth, honesty, and enough time to do it right.

I am Dr. Kameelah Phillips, a board-certified OB/GYN and the founder of Evolve Gyn. I have been practicing at Calla Women's Health for nearly two decades, building the kind of patient relationships that the insurance model was never designed to support: conversations about fibroids. The A-to-Z discussions about every option before a patient decides. The frank talk about sexual health that most physicians do not have time for. I was doing all of that. I just could not do enough of it.
Evolve Gyn is the practice I always meant to run.
I believe every woman deserves a physician who will sit with her, review every option, explain the reasoning, and make space for the questions she has been afraid to ask. I practice co-creative medicine: you understand your options, you make the call, I support the decision. Nothing is taken off the table before you have seen it.
My care centers on gynecology, perimenopause and menopause, sexual health and intimacy, and midlife preventive care. I have a particular commitment to women of color and Black women, who have too often encountered a medical system that rushed them, dismissed them, or failed to hear them entirely. That will not happen here.
I am building this practice because I believe real women's health deserves more time, more honesty, and more of a physician who goes there.
I would love to tell you more about what that looks like.
Warmly,
Dr. Kameelah Phillips
Membership benefits
A modern gynecology membership, built around you.
In a membership-based practice, you pay an annual fee for comprehensive, continuous care rather than billing through insurance for individual visits. That means I care for fewer patients, which means I can truly know you, follow your health closely, and be the physician you call when something matters.
When you come in, you will always see Dr. Phillips: not a nurse practitioner, not a physician assistant, not another doctor covering the schedule. Appointments are typically 30 to 60 minutes and start on time. You will reach a real person when you call.
